+RAIN Film Festival 2025
3rd International Festival of Cinema and Artificial Intelligence
Audiovisuals + Festivals
Free with pre-booking
Organised by Pompeu Fabra University, the +RAIN Film Festival will celebrate its third edition from June 10 to 13, 2025, across the UPF Poblenou Campus and the CCCB, establishing itself as a key platform for exploring the creative, legal, and ethical boundaries of AI-generated cinema.
At the CCCB, the FEST section takes the pulse of current audiovisual creation using AI. This year’s eight finalist works, selected from over 260 international submissions, highlight a commitment to contemporary visual thinking and an exploration of memory, both individual and collective.
The films stand out for their focus on the texture and materiality of digital imagery, often blending real and generated visuals. Themes such as identity, control, and political resistance are tackled through new visual grammars that embrace poetic, philosophical, and deeply experimental documentary cinema.
